Imagine what would have happened if they left him and Vinny alone? We probably would have won two more titles during his tenure. Now, I think he became sour the last couple years - 1994 appeared to really break him.

The prevailing opinion on campus during the mid 90s was that he had worn out his welcome with the administration, and his approach was grating on the players. He had at least one inexcusable, baffling loss every year after 1989. Some evidence that they tuned him out on occasion.
