the sense we got was that Meyer realized he was boxed into a corner at Florida - he didn't seem to think much of most of his last staff, citing how at least one of their agents was asking him about golf club memberships or something while negotiating the guys contract, and how "things had gotten out of whack" in college football. By that he likely meant the shitty, selfish attitudes of all the 5 star studs he brought in his last few years (see, the clashes between the 2010 Florida true freshmen and upperclassmen).

I don't think anyone really believed he was done with coaching.

Most head coaches are bullshitters, so I won't give him too much of a hard time. But he really did lay on the slef-righteous schtick.
