I quite liked that 2021 England team
They had a number of guys who had been impressive advocates during COVID and the BLM protests, plus the "Football Comes Home" narrative, complete with a Wembley final, was pretty hard to resist. I genuinely wanted them to beat Italy.
I haven't liked subsequent England sides nearly as much, though, and I find this one pretty tedious to watch, their trip to the Azteca excepted.
