Aha!

Green Street, as I'm sure they told you, has been around forever and a day. The original founder went to college with my dad. Well, seminary... but that's a longer story. It was a great little 15-table spot actually on Green Street. Love the "new" spot where they've been for more than 30 years but still remember the old. Gus's used to be a total nightmare - I grew up down there and nobody went except some old guys who lingered at the bar. Then the Bicos brothers bought it and revived it. I celebrate the whole menu, but the rib sandwich is a personal favorite. The nachos, sub brisket for pulled pork, are also great. Hope you got the funky Jones on Raymond in the industrial area. It's another favorite and a local family who've been around forever.

You did well. But yeah, that blended marg at HomeState will be on me. It's not the best thing you'll ever taste (unless you do a half-and-half with the spicy paloma) but it's not the worst.

The 2007 ND-UCLA game was a once in a lifetime experience, I hope
