Fellow Bloggers on this Board....
I just had an idea to pass the time this summer before football starts. It was sparked by conversation over on RH at NDN today.
Once Phil Steele is released this spring, I thought it might be fun to create a pool of players from the expected depth charts of the ND team and all of their opponents for the season. Then each blog, or individual bloggers (or hell, I'd be happy to open it up to anyone on this board, but we'd need to set some cap on entrants) could participate in a mock draft, assembling their own teams from that pool of players. So I guess at maximum we could take 13 teams, since we'll want to assemble full teams for each entrant.
Then we can sort of use the results to figure out ND's strength of talent versus the opposition (ND should do pretty darn well here, I'd think). Who knows, maybe we could even create a fantasy game for the season with the results.
Just throwing the idea out there, but if you're interested, reply here or e-mail me, and we can sort of hash out the details.
