I also recognize ballooning costs have to be paid for somehow. And I'd rather a patch on the jersey than any financial shuffling that somehow diverts money from the rest of the University mission. Yes, donors are writing large checks for NIL, but at least some small percentage of those funds might have otherwise gone to other ND departments.
