I don't know if it's true.
But I saw part of that Lombardi interview and when he mentioned fundraising in Saudi Arabia my ears picked up. Was it legal? Did BB & Lombardi have any idea of NCAA rules?
At the time I suspected Lombardi was mostly doing PR damage control and changing the subject from Jordan Hudson to their vision of UNC football going forward. But NIL funding from the Saudis wasn't something I expected to hear from career NFL guys. That's why the comment stood out to me.
