Better to be on the good side of this than the bad, but I'd generally prefer better than this from an ND man.
One significant upside

anytime I read Lake Charles, Louisiana my brain says it in Levon's voice.
I thought the above was cute.

No but seriously, what a pick up. We lost out on #70 overall and 4*, Von Brandt. Then just say eff it. Let's go get 5* Albert Simien against the most prolific spender in CFB, aTm. Wow. what a get.
Now he just has to stay out of golf carts.

Currently ranked 59th, behind both Purdon't, Kansas and many other perennial doormats. They have 1 5 star, 2 4 star and 8 3 star recruits. Are you kidding me?!? How the mighty have fallen.
Have it on pretty good authority

that DeBoer is not that involved in recruiting, maybe not exactly BK but certainly too close for comfort. And Alabama is not as active as peers in NIL. It's a rough combination.
I think Ryan Day is a total douchebag, but the man has kept the post-Urb party going at OSU because he recruits his nuts off and he's really good at it. DeBoer is likely to fail in Tuscaloosa after inheriting Saban's death star because he doesn't prioritize that aspect of the job. I hope ND will learn that lesson when it comes time to replace Freeman. You need to have a coach who considers recruiting essential and is compelled to get personally involved.
So you're saying Day has no nuts?
