He loved it, but he had a bit of trouble following the plot.
FWIW, few books have done more to shape my taste in pleasure reading than The Westing Game--I periodically find myself Googling "books like the Westing Game, but for adults" when I'm looking for a next book. Thus far, the results have been pretty disappointing, but I did really like Andre Alexis' The Hidden Keys, which is a bit like a Black Canadian Westing Game, albeit with more drugs and violence.
