It sounds like more than price gouging

I saw a report that FIFA is messing with the ticket availability to help with the price gouging component. Basically, what is now being shown is really a manipulated and incomplete snapshot of the ticket availability.

Beyond the ticket situation, FIFA is messing with the external issues. Sounds like they are making efforts to cover up logos at stadiums like the Mercedes symbol because the car company isn't an official sponsor. And mass transit is being significantly affected. A train fare that would normally be around $13 bucks was rumored to be increased to $100 (there isn't many other ways to get into MetLife). Once the backlash was being heard? Transit authorities said "eff it" and jacked the price up to $150 for a normal public transit train ticket.

And there will be no tailgating either.
