What year was this?
Kid from my MN high school was the same way. I finally reached out to the Athletic Department and begged them to recruit him. He ended up being a four year varsity letter winner. Blew my mind.
This was circa 2002 (my senior year), when my friend (initials ED) was finishing up HS.
