If anyone watched his special last year, he does a long bit on the invention of the bell that starts with a conversation with his “cabdriver” in Rochester, MN.

That driver was my dad. He drives black car for our hometown’s convention center after 25 years of running its building operations. Gaffigan riffed on their conversation that night as he recorded side stage, and then shocked us when he worked it into the special.

He’s a good one, according to my dad.
