NOTES: That first period has to be as close to self-imposed probation as any major college team has experienced. Also, over the last four years, on both sites, ND has signed the exact same number of four and five star players, 54.

Those are two different programs.

In volume and composition, the team that will take the field against Nevada bears no resemblance to the squad that was manhandled by Georgia Tech in 2007.

Coaching errors can and did still take place ("It's about FOREGOING THE CHANCE TO KICK A FIELD GOAL TO WIN THE MOTHERFUCKING GAME."). But Weis was fielding a team that was either going to be younger or less-talented than any we've seen at ND.

Striking difference.

Those are depths of recruiting few major programs have ever seen. It almost makes me give a pass for Charlie for the last two years....almost.
