but the impression I was getting was he'd wait longer than this and I thought he might end up in the SEC. And that made some sense to me because it's of the fact that it's a top-flight CFB area with their own legends - so much so that his heritage would be much more a side-note than it would probably anywhere else in the country.

Just goes to show there's no guessing with 18 year old kids.
