Yes, he struggled in run support, which should be expected for a rail-thin sophomore. But I remember him being outstanding in pass coverage. After Laws, he was probably our second-best defensive player, along with Bruton. I don't recall any specific games, but he was a big part of the reason why ND ranked 22nd in the nation in pass efficiency defense.
