How good was Darrin Walls in 2007?
I remember the pick against Penn State, but to be perfectly honest, what I mostly remember is him getting abused while trying to support the run defense.
What other strong games did he have in 2007? Was he so good that teams were throwing to the other side?
He was very good
Yes, he struggled in run support, which should be expected for a rail-thin sophomore. But I remember him being outstanding in pass coverage. After Laws, he was probably our second-best defensive player, along with Bruton. I don't recall any specific games, but he was a big part of the reason why ND ranked 22nd in the nation in pass efficiency defense.
Has he bulked up?

he was probably the best athlete on the field, even counting the opposition, in most games.
