As bad as the 2004-05 classes have been...

with respect to the draft, the 2003 class was pretty darn impressive. Gotta give Ty credit for that one, or at least credit for the 8-0 start that allowed it to be possible (with a nod to Weis for some player development).

8 total draft picks
Quinn (1st)
Abiamiri (2nd)
Carlson (2nd)
Laws (2nd)
Harris (3rd)
Zibby (3rd)
Sullivan (6th)
Ndukwe (7th)

And that doesn't include Shark (a probably first or second rounder) or Greg Olsen (a first-rounder with Miami).

Eh. The thing about that though...

Quinn was recruited by Ndukwe, pretty much, and both were self-selectors. We got lucky that Maryland screwed up the rules with Abiamiri.

He can have credit for the rest of them, but I think 3 of them were the ball bouncing in our direction just like much of that 8-0 start.

Was my class the most talented to never win a major bowl?

Can anyone think of any better ones?
