But I think my favorite is at the end, when he's talking about wanting to be a captain. "My only campaigning is my play on the field." It's hard to sum up the ideal attitude for a player more succinctly than that. I hope (and suspect) the days of older players feeling entitled to positions is gone. That can only be good news for our performance.

Also, it's still amazing that the stars aligned to get him at the 11th hour. Sometimes being lucky (in recruiting) is just as important as being good, I think.

If not for him, Smith would be at Iowa, and it would suck to see a legacy emerging as a star for another school.

Smith is versatile enough to play anywhere, but I would love to see our defense develop where he could be at his best position, not the position where we need him. B. Smith is perfect for WILL, Fleming is perfect for SAM and Toryan is perfect for MIKE. But, as Busco stated below, he has some physical limitations. So since Weis stated that Te'o could play any of the three spots, ideally he would come in and complement Toryan at the middle spot (i.e., playing in passing situations or against spread teams).
