Speaking of recruiting tactics...

As one of the few "national recruiters", why doesn't Notre Dame sponsor regional "Junior Days"? We should be renting facilities in Florida, Texas and California and give local talent the opportunity to get to know Notre Dame and the coaches without the heavy expense of travelling all of the way to South Bend. Fly Notre Dame out to them. Barnstorm for recruits!

not a bad idea at all

Could we do that?

Highly doubtful that's possible

A few years back under Schiano Rutgers tried to hold camps down in Florida to capitalize on his connections down there. The NCAA quickly came down against that practice and, don't quote me here, but I think they ruled that member schools cannot in essence setup shop outside of their area for recruiting purposes. IIRC, the NCAA may even have given a specific mileage limit from campus where such activities have to be confined to.

Can Jack change that when he takes the NCAA job?
