the local chocolates. It ain't Belgian chocolate but it's pretty damn good. I'm not at home so I can't look the place up but downtown, by the Bosphorus (tram runs alongside it), in the main square there's a Melodi Cikolata.

You won't be disappointed.

2nd recc. If you have the opportunity stick around Istanbul until nightfall. 'Given the topography 'Blue Hour' on the Bosphorus, with the lights across the river coming on is one of the great visual scenes in Europe.

My one regret on our last European trip was not bringing my tripod to Istanbul for that shot.

Speaking of Prater snapped this while down there one night. The Ferris wheel is just off to the right of the fame.
